What to Expect

This journey is designed for nature lovers seeking a softer, sensory-rich alternative to traditional game-drive safaris. You’ll explore Kenya’s birding havens on foot, by boat, and via peaceful lakeside drives — ideal for those who appreciate calm pacing and close observation of wildlife.

Expect serene boat rides, early morning birdwatching walks, and time to reflect, journal, and photograph in tranquil surroundings. Most of the trail is low-altitude and not physically demanding, making it perfect for both seasoned birders and first-timers.

You’ll stay in comfortable boutique lodges and eco-lodges that are close to nature yet well-appointed. Your expert guide will help you spot everything from African fish eagles and flamingos to shy woodland species and rare regional specialties.

  • Guided boat safari on Lake Naivasha with sightings of fish eagles and kingfishers
  • Crescent Island nature walk among zebras, giraffes, and hundreds of waterbirds
  • Soft hiking in Soysambu Conservancy and Elementaita shoreline
  • Full-day flamingo tracking in Lake Nakuru National Park
  • Evening reflections, bird checklists, and sundowners at lakeside lodges
